Finn: The Gentle Giant on the Block
Finn is a feline nobody can ignore. Picture this: he’s got the stature of your average nine-year-old child—yes, really! This Maine Coon stretches out to an impressive 51 inches (that’s 1.30 meters for you metric folks), embodying everything you’d imagine from a gentle giant. He shares his daily adventures with his owner Natalie, who never runs out of praise when it comes to his unique traits.
When Natalie takes Finn out for walks on his leash, he’s guaranteed to be the center of attention in the neighborhood. It isn’t unusual for passersby, stunned by his sheer size, to mistake him for a dog. Natalie fondly recalls these moments with amusement:

I’ve often seen people exclaim, “Oh my god, that’s a cat!” when they realize what he really is.
Funny as it is, this phenomenon is a testament to just how remarkable Finn is.
From Tiny Kitten to Beloved Companion
Finn came into Natalie’s life when he was a tiny three-and-a-half-month-old kitten. But it didn’t take long for this little furball to grow into today’s affectionate feline. His personality is a lively blend of curiosity and tenderness—a combo that guarantees him a special place in Natalie’s heart.
Finn has a reputation for being constantly in search of cuddles. Sometimes, he can show signs of hyper-attachment, even a touch of separation anxiety if left alone. To ease his solitude, Natalie doesn’t hesitate to bring him with her to her workplace—proof of just how important he is in her life.
The Gourmet Side of Finn
Beyond his imposing looks, Finn has a discerning palate. Natalie smiles as she talks about his monthly meal budget—around $150—to keep this big food lover satisfied. It takes three to four little feasts a day to meet the energy needs of this majestic cat and, in the process, reinforce his unique character.
More Than Just a Pet: A True Companion
Over the years, Finn has become much more than just a pet. He blends right into daily life and gets along perfectly with Natalie’s other cat. His temperament is a textbook example of what organizations like the Maine Coon Club International highlight for the breed: sociable and affectionate, with plenty of heart.
Through his outings and tender moments, Finn gifts his loved ones with charming anecdotes and is proof that a big heart can’t be measured solely in inches.
This glimpse into Finn’s life reminds us that, even in the animal world, being different can turn into a true strength. For cat lovers, he’s a living example of how an outsized frame can come with an even more outsized personality—worthy of the most unforgettable stories.
This cat is absolutely magnificent.. But what upkeep, and above all, the cost of food and veterinary care! Personally, I have 4 cats, including one regular Maine Coon, and they light up my life.
What a beauty! I adore felines, cats—I’m part of an association and I feed stray cats, it’s a wonderful moment. Pure happiness!!!
I share my life with my 5 cats, all rescued from my neighborhood, no one was caring for them. Today, I volunteer at a shelter for abandoned cats. And I don’t regret any of the time I devote to cats—quite the opposite. Let’s give back to animals all that they bring us in life. ❤️❤️❤️
